Trend Analysis

Data is critical to driving better decisions. In West Virginia, one group is working to extract case notes from electronic health records (EHRs) and analyze them to understand pressing issues like homelessness, employment, and childcare. By integrating systems, scanning for key terms, and feeding the results into advanced reporting tools, they can identify priorities, perform real-time analysis, and project future needs. Layering AI on top enables deeper engagement with de-identified data, giving researchers the insight to address challenges at a systemic level.

Care Coordination

Nonprofits and care coordination teams face major inefficiencies in outreach and communication—outreach workers struggle to reach and enroll individuals in programs, while coordinators spend countless hours on reminders, form collection, and check-ins. A secure, compliant engagement platform can automate these repetitive tasks, track all interactions, and escalate to staff when needed. By blending automation with human touch, organizations reduce wasted effort, improve enrollment rates, strengthen compliance, and free staff to focus on meaningful, person-centered support.

Medical Staff

Medical adherence remains a significant challenge in healthcare, with patients frequently missing doses, skipping appointments, or struggling to follow treatment plans. These gaps can lead to poorer health outcomes, higher hospital readmissions, and increased costs for providers. OIS offers a powerful solution by automating personalized patient communication through voice, SMS, or chat. Providers can send timely medication reminders, appointment notifications, and educational messages tailored to each patient’s needs. Integration with electronic health records allows the system to track adherence patterns and identify patients who may require additional support. By combining automation, personalization, and analytics, OIS helps improve patient compliance, engagement, and overall health outcomes.

Internal Portal/ Intranet

Nonprofits juggle 7–12 (or many more!) disconnected tech tools, making it hard for staff—especially new hires in high-turnover environments—to find the information they need. This creates delays, risks missed insights, and drains organizational resources. A HIPAA-compliant portal that integrates with existing systems and provides AI-powered guidance can give staff a secure, role-based dashboard that points them to the right data, at the right time. The result: faster onboarding, reduced inefficiencies, and more time focused on mission-driven work.

Effective internal communication is a major challenge for nonprofits, with only 36% having a formal strategy in place. Misaligned teams, unclear expectations, and siloed information can slow programs, fundraising, and overall impact. Internal AI chatbots offer a simple solution: they centralize knowledge, reduce information gaps, and help staff get up to speed quickly. New team members can onboard faster, while existing staff gain a reliable, accessible source for policies, processes, and organizational insights. By fostering transparency and open communication, AI chatbots not only improve efficiency but also strengthen culture, alignment, and collaboration—helping your nonprofit operate smarter and achieve its mission more effectively.

Staff timesheet reminder

Staff record their hours of service in a system, but occasionally timesheet entries are missed—for example, due to forgetfulness, a busy schedule, or lack of access to a computer or internet. Missing submissions can delay payroll, create extra work for payroll staff, and impact budget tracking. AI can help by scanning the data and sending timely reminders to staff via text or phone, prompting them to submit their timesheets. This automated approach ensures staff enter their hours promptly, reduces administrative strain, and keeps payroll and budgeting processes running smoothly.
